Kirkland House welcomes you

Completed in 1785 and built to an elegant but simple design, typical of the period, Kirkland is a classical 3 bay country house with a magnificent elevated and secluded position at the heart of extensive private grounds with a fine view to the southwset across the valley of the Shinnel Water and the surrounding rural landscape.

Within the house is a one bedroom flat with independent access from the rear of the house including sitting room/kitchen, double bedroom and shower room. We also have outbuildings built in 1821 with independent access directly off the minor public road.

Come stay at the house and walk around the gardens, enjoy the setting and the established trees and plants. There are footpaths in the nearby town of Tynron for experienced and inexperenced walkers. There are also guided walks availble which can be booked in advance of your stay. Contact me below for more details and if you would like to book a guided walk during your stay.
